Rules & Testing Guidelines

Aligned with the Tavrn Alpha NDA

Welcome to the Tavrn Alpha program! Your participation helps us shape the future of Tavrn; thank you for being here. Below are the rules and expectations that guide your role as an alpha tester. These guidelines are part of the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and are critical to maintaining a safe, focused, and private testing environment.

✅ General Expectations

  • Test Responsibly: Use the platform with care and intention. You are here to explore, identify bugs, suggest improvements, and provide thoughtful feedback.

  • Stay Within the Scope: Don’t attempt to break, reverse-engineer, or bypass limitations in the system.

  • Report Clearly: Use the provided forms or feedback channels to report bugs, UI issues, and feedback. Be specific when possible.

  • Respect the Platform’s State: This is a pre-release version of Tavrn. Things will break, feel incomplete, or change rapidly, that’s part of the process.

🔒 Confidentiality & Sharing

Under the Tavrn Alpha NDA, you must not:

  • Share screenshots, screen recordings, or text describing unreleased features

  • Talk about Tavrn Alpha in public forums, Discord servers, group chats, social media, etc.

  • Show the platform to non-testers without written permission from the Tavrn team

  • Share your account or login access with anyone else

If in doubt: keep it private and ask first.

💬 Community Behavior

Even in this closed testing phase, community expectations apply:

  • Be respectful: Treat other testers and Tavrn team members with kindness and professionalism

  • No harassment, hate, or trolling: Zero tolerance for abusive language, discrimination, or targeted attacks

  • Keep testing spaces clean: No spamming, NSFW content, or off-topic distractions in official Tavrn environments

Violating these expectations may result in removal from the testing program.

🧪 Testing Dos & Don’ts

✅ DO:

  • Explore all available features; servers, DMs, AHA!, media uploads, etc.

  • Leave feedback using the provided tools

  • Flag bugs or safety concerns as soon as you find them

  • Keep notes on what works well and what feels off

  • Be patient… this is just the beginning

❌ DON’T:

  • Modify the app, force errors, or exploit bugs without reporting them

  • Share your thoughts publicly without permission

  • Treat this like a final product; it isn’t!

  • Use Tavrn Alpha to host real communities or events just yet

By following these rules, you help us build Tavrn into something we can all be proud of. Your feedback matters. Your integrity matters.

🧡 Thank you for testing with care.

– Team Tavrn
