🏁 What Is a Milestone Build?

Milestone Builds are key development checkpoints that mark meaningful progress in Tavrn’s journey to full release. Each build introduces new features, major improvements, or important changes that help us shape the platform with real user feedback.

🔧 Why We Use Milestone Builds

Tavrn is being developed in phases, with care and community at its core. Milestone Builds help us:

  • Organize development goals into smaller, focused releases

  • Share progress transparently with testers and supporters

  • Test new features in real-time with live user feedback

  • Collect insights to inform future decisions and changes

Every Milestone Build moves us closer to Beta, and eventually Public Launch.

📦 What’s in a Milestone Build?

Each build typically includes a mix of:

  • ✨ New features and tools (like Media Gallery, Link Safety, The Commons, etc.)

  • 🛠️ Improvements to the UI, performance, and accessibility

  • 🐞 Bug fixes and stability updates

  • 📋 Updated documentation and testing guides

Some Milestones also unlock access to new parts of Tavrn for testers to try out and respond to.

🔁 How They Roll Out

When a Milestone Build is released:

  1. It’s announced in the Tester Hub

  2. Patch notes or a changelog are shared so testers know what’s new

  3. Feedback forms are updated to reflect new features or issues to watch for

  4. All testers currently enrolled will receive the update automatically (or gain access if it’s a server-side change)

🧪 What You Can Do as a Tester

Your job isn’t just to use Tavrn, it’s to help shape it. Here’s how you can help during each Milestone:

  • Explore new features thoroughly

  • Report bugs, glitches, or anything confusing

  • Suggest improvements or point out what doesn’t feel right

  • Communicate with the team through feedback forms or The Commons

We want every Milestone Build to feel like real, measurable progress and your voice makes that possible.
